Google is killing your website because doing so makes them even more money!

Google is a marketing company and EVERYTHING they do is created to produce Marketing opportunities.

They want all customers to use their Workspace program, and they are charging for data storage for all their products. If your Gmail account has not notified you that you are nearing the maximum data amount and you will need to pay a monthly fee to upgrade your data allowance, it is coming.

First, it is much more than just a website, the enfohub App has several business tools - it is not just a website! If you can manage a cell phone, you can manage our website App. It was designed for non-technical people and can be accessed by a computer, tablet or cell phone.
If someone is really non-technical we recommend having an App Manager design it, the cost is minimal. After its been created your App Manager can show you the few features you will want to understand and use. Then the App should be easy enough for you to do what's needed. Contact your App Manager if you have a question in the future. We want our customers to be successful!

All businesses, regardless of size should have a website and one they can manage. Websites are today's business cards, and more. Your business may already be busy enough now, it is about investing a very small amount in your business to make sure you stay busy in the future, in addition to the time it saves. If you figure out you need to market your business because you don't have enough customers, it is already too late. Successful marketing is achieved over time, not something done overnight.

The type of marketing that may work quickly is the giveaway deals. But that causes you to lose money to get customers. It is better to just get a website and do the proper marketing over time so giving your work away is never needed.

As small business owners ourselves, we say you can't afford to not have a website! For a little more than your Netflix subscription or weekly Starbucks coffee, you can have a good website. Another way to think about it is, if a small business were to get one additional customer a month, that would more than pay for the cost of a website. If they got 10 more, it would clearly be a business changer.

And free websites are not really free and aren't complete websites.

Everyone has their preferences and things that are important to them. The big website builders have many, many customers so they have their fans.

However, if you are a small business, we feel that we may be better for you for several reasons. First, we have features they do not have, like our Facebook like News Feed. Our 1-Step Buttons that, along with the Permissions feature, allow staff members to be safely included in regularly updating the website. This reduces management's duties and makes the website better for customers and for SEO.

Notifications that tell management there was just a change to the website - now you can make sure the staff made the right changes. Our Group Contacts allow email blasts, so a MailChimp account is not needed (saving as much as $70mo. for a smaller business) and it all can be managed on your phone too!

The single-page website is what makes our website better! Search engine crawlers see every page of a website as a separate website, not one site with multiple pages. So the content in a 5-page website is spread out and diluted. Whereas, a single-page website has concentrated content. Crawlers see everything at once, all the keywords are on one page, this is better for putting the site higher in search results. We have a pulldown menu (upper right), which makes the website appear to be a multiple-page site to visitors without separating the keywords and content.

An SEO test is for keywords and is not an SEO test, and there are sites that offer a free SEO test. The enfohub websites typically do not perform well on them. These tests look for features that would be expected from a multi-page site and are not designed to test single-page sites like the enfohub site. The App has been designed to perform at a high level for how the crawlers work, not to score high on a website's SEO test.

We suspect the big website builders were designed to look good for these test sites. One reason enfohub was created was the belief that these big website-building sites like GoDaddy were built to sell a lot of websites, not to make the best websites - they clearly were not designed just for small businesses.

While it may sound like a single-page website is not as good or has its own issues, it is just the opposite, it is the newer concept - the future in websites because a single-page website is great for targeting a specific audience and specific product/service. With all that said, if you're a Walmart, the enfohub website is not right for you - it was created for small to medium-sized businesses.

Lastly, these tests were created to encourage people to hire those companies to fix their websites - it is another example that free is not better. These free tests are rigged. An accurate testing service costs upwards of $1k a year.

If price is what matters and not getting found online and winning over prospective customers, etc., then yes. Please know this, the tech world has a saying, if the product is free, YOU ARE THE PRODUCT. We all have heard, "There is no such thing as a free lunch!" No company makes a product to just give it away without getting something. Free websites, whether from Google or one of the many Trade Listing sites (like https://www.cmac.ws/ which has 15,000 businesses) are free for a reason. Here is a list of why these sites are free:

- They sell your information throughout the internet.- They often sell advertisements on your page your customers can see (often for your competitors). This is Yelp's model, and the Biz sites.

- They benefit from the SEO, visitors are going to their website, not yours, it may include your name, but it is theirs and you don't have an SEO ranking. This is also Facebook's model. Facebook sends you emails saying your friend just posted a photo, ever wonder why they don't just include the photo? Because you going to Facebook to see it causes advertisers to pay them more.

.- You do not have your own domain, you might have your domain forwarded to it, but there is no SEO credit for those sites for you, that credit only goes to them.

- They have very limited features and low-quality images and colors. You can get better services if you pay them.

- There is no support, if there is a problem you are on your own.

- Due to their poor security, free website services are notorious for distributing malware. Your devices could get a virus.

- Include a menu with an Order Online button with Google and they raise your prices by 20% which your customers will have to pay & then Google sells the order to a 3 party App that charges you a commission. Everyone makes money on your work.

- Many of these sites are "Link Farms" and you will soon start getting spammed.

- Some, like Yelp, will not delete your site - ever! You thought, starting with a free site & getting a better site later sounded smart, what happened is you created a competing website for your new nicer site. Customers may not find your better site.

- These sites are rarely mobile-friendly.

- No linking or forwarding options.

-Free websites are terrible, even if you just want to just practice building sites. It is reasonable to think that a good website can get a small business at least one customer more a month, for most businesses that more than pays for it - the greatest deal in the history of the world!

Most companies will make you a website using a website builder. We ARE a website builder!

Websites are a Picture frame, the picture is your images and content. A new website (frame) will not improve your contact and images.

If your website is not good enough, work on improving your images - a picture is worth a thousand words. Remember, today we rarely 'read' websites, we scan them, so make sure you have good photos.

If you really want to know if these companies have a better website, ask them if their's include tools like Forms, Email Marketing, Permissions so your staff can edit a portion of the site, 1-Step Buttons, a Task Manager and are you able edit the site yourself.

A website can save a business a lot of time and do so in many ways. If you have read these FAQs many of your questions have now been answered before you speak to anyone at enfohub.
